Interesting. I know there were the Celts and the Gauls and all of that, but I'd never heard of the Gothic people...

English is my first language and the only one I'm fluent in.
I'm learning Hebrew. Since I'm going to a Jewish high school, I should be fluent in it in four years when I graduate.

My main language is spanish since I'm puertorican, my second language is english which I learned on the Internet. More specifically on Gaia(amazingly) and Neopets(even more amazing) because those 2 were the first sites I used to access when I was a kid.

My first language was Chinese, as I am Chinese and it is the language my parents spoke to me when I was little.

However, I learned English quickly as soon as I entered preschool. Now, I barely ever speak Chinese, and my English is much better than my Chinese.

In elementary and middle school, I took Spanish as my foreign language, so I speak a little of that. But I could never pronounce many of the words correctly, especially the ones that involve rolling your tongue. So, in high school, I switched to Latin, which I am still taking right now. I chose it partly because it doesn't need to be spoken.

I'm Asian-American, and I speak perfect English.
English is.. the only language I speak. D:

I understand my native language a bit (Vietnamese), but I just don't have the right accent for it. Unless I really realllllyyyy try.

I'll probably take French in high school. Should be interesting.

My first language is Amerikan English, but I prefer using British words and spellings. Wink My second language is decent German, y'know, 'wo bist' and 'Ich bin' and whatnot. :p My third language (I never really finish any of my languages, lol.) is Dutch. Enough to have a conversation (like my German), but not enough for very special questions (i.e. Do you have a chicken in your pocket?). And about 18 other languages, I know a word or a phrase. >>'

I never said that I speak French? o-o Well, that's crazy. I told you guys of languages that I understand little of, and then forget to tell you the language I've been learning for the past two and a half years?

Je m'excuse. D:

I am only fluent in English, but I took three years of Spanish and one year of French in high school. I remember hardly anything lol. Now I am in my fourth year of junior college and I am taking Japanese I. It's a lot less involved than Spanish because they don't have a version of every verb for everyone you are referring to such as I, you, we, them, etc, they just slap an ending on it for the tense. For example Ikimasu is 'go', or 'is going', and Ikimashita is 'did go' or 'went'.

I find I am picking it up pretty quickly. My teacher is awesome he is hilarious. I will probably take the next level too since it's going towards my major in Liberal arts.

A language I would love to learn is Finnish. I might look up some guides online to teach myself. I am seen on youtube some lion king songs in Finnish and it's such a beautiful language.
